Hello & welcome to mralgae's algae & tropical tanks pages

I have been fish/planted tanks keeping for 2yrs now and although I am now expert I have built up a substantial knowledge over this time. All articles on this site are based on “MY OPINIONS” and experience gained through problems I have encountered with both my tanks.

I currently have 240L planted tank which is shown at the top of the page and also a 60L tank which is how I got back in to fish keeping after many years away.

Hopefully somewhere on these pages you will find some answers to problems you may have or are having in your tropical aquarium. As i build this site i will be explaining such things as how to set up a planted tank, c02 injection and also covering such problems as ALGAE. New aricles will appear from time to time and you will be able to find all articles listed on the left side of this page under the menu section.

the first article "mralgae's battle with algae!" is exactly what it says, my battle with algae when i first set up my 240L planted tank. Hopefully you will find some comfort from the battles i had and insperation and not to give up to easy.
